Terms of Service

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or use the Service. By creating an account, you represent that you are 18 or older and that you have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms. The Service is not directed to, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from, anyone under 18.

You need an account to post, comment, join a creator’s orbit, or hold a membership. You agree to provide accurate information, keep your login credentials confidential, and notify us promptly at danny@thegalaxy.me if you suspect unauthorized use of your account. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. One account per person; impersonating another person or maintaining multiple accounts to evade enforcement is prohibited.

The Galaxy is a paid, member-supported service. Membership is billed on a recurring annual subscription through our payment processor, Stripe, Inc. We do not receive or store your full payment card details — Stripe handles that directly.

• Auto-renewal. Your membership renews automatically each year at the then-current price unless you cancel before the renewal date.
• Cancellation. You may cancel at any time from your account settings or by emailing us. Cancellation stops future renewals; it does not end your current paid period early.
• Refunds. Payments are non-refundable except where required by law or at our discretion on a case-by-case basis.
• Price changes. We’ll give you reasonable notice before a price change takes effect on your next renewal.

“Your Content” means anything you post, upload, or broadcast through the Service — text, images, audio, and video. You retain ownership of Your Content.

By posting Your Content, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, and display it solely as necessary to operate and provide the Service to you and the audience your visibility setting allows (public, orbit-only, or private). This license ends when you delete Your Content or your account, except for residual copies retained briefly for backups, legal compliance, or as otherwise described in our Privacy Policy.

Consistent with The Covenant, we do not sell Your Content, license it to third parties for their own use, or use it to train machine-learning or AI models.

You are solely responsible for Your Content and represent that you own it or otherwise have the right to post it, and that it does not violate these Terms, the law, or anyone else’s rights.

You agree not to post or do any of the following:

• Content that is not your own original, human-made work.
• Content generated wholly or primarily by artificial intelligence.
• Content that infringes another person’s copyright, trademark, or other intellectual property rights.
• Content that is unlawful, defamatory, harassing, hateful, or that threatens or incites violence.
• Sexually explicit content involving minors, in any form.
• Malware, spam, or attempts to disrupt or gain unauthorized access to the Service.
• Scraping, bulk data collection, or automated access to the Service without our written permission.

We may remove content or suspend or terminate accounts that violate these standards, with or without notice.

If you believe content on the Service infringes your copyright, see our DMCA Policy for how to submit a takedown notice. We terminate accounts of repeat infringers in appropriate circumstances.

The Service itself — its design, code, features, and The Galaxy name and marks — is owned by Intergalactic Technologies LLC and protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms don’t grant you any right to use our branding except as necessary to use the Service as intended.

We rely on third-party infrastructure to provide the Service, including Supabase (accounts, database, and file storage) and Stripe (payments). Your use of the Service is also subject to those providers’ own terms where applicable. See our Privacy Policy for details on how these providers process your data.

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service, with or without notice, if you violate these Terms, create risk or legal exposure for us, or if we discontinue the Service. Sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination — including ownership, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and dispute resolution — will survive.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE,” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE, OR THAT CONTENT POSTED BY OTHER USERS IS ACCURATE, LAWFUL, OR SAFE.

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, INTERGALACTIC TECHNOLOGIES LLC AND ITS OWNERS, EMPLOYEES, AND CONTRACTORS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM AROSE.

Some jurisdictions don’t allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages, so some of the above limitations may not apply to you.

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Intergalactic Technologies LLC from any claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from Your Content, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third party’s rights.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms or the Service will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in New York, and you consent to that jurisdiction and venue.

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we’ll update the effective date above and, where appropriate, notify you. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions stay in full effect. Our failure to enforce a provision isn’t a waiver of it. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and DMCA Policy, are the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Service.
